Mr. Zamler's 5th Grade, November 28, 2001
A group poem, as inspired by the words
"typhoon," "violin," and "cottony."

Row, row, row your bow, across the violin.
And if you dont, your teacher might
kick you in the shin!

Here are some poems submitted by Mr. Zamler's students:

I was eating my lunch one afternoon
under the bright blue sky.
Then some bugs got on my plate,
exclaiming, "Oh my! Oh my!"
The bugs, there were some slugs
and grubs.
Now I'm feeling very glum.
I squished the bugs and smashed my dish.
To be out of here is my only wish!
by Emily G.

Oh, Booger Green!
Oh, booger green,
you are undercover, you are unseen.
You remind me of the tall, green grass.
I will never thorw your crayon in the smelly trash.

Oh, booger green,
You are dark and deep, not at all mean.
You make me think of the dense forest.
I will never sell your marker to the neighborhood florist.
by Rachel V.

I was sitting on a kitchen chair,
playing with my hair,
watching the football game.
The crowd rumbled
and the other team fumbled.
The letters popped up on the screen, "FUMBLE,"
The marching band bumbled.
