Kingston Elementary School ~ 5th Grade
Inspired by a pair of dark sunglasses
from the Magic Suitcase

THE SPY GUY'S EYES

I wear these black glasses on my face.
Don't bother me now, I'm on a case.
I wear a disguise. I am a spy.
You'd better not trust me, because I may lie.
I chase the bad guys on my ATV.
I captured a French guy who likes to say, "Oui."
I turned him in to collect my pay,
went back to headquarters and called it a day.

The following poem
was submitted by Shayla Q.,
a 5th Grade student at Kingston.

There is a "whow" in my shoe
just for you.
This shoe is hard to wear
because there's a whow in my shoe.

The following two poems were
submitted by 5th Grader Katie T.

Tickley, tickley, Jenna's on the phone.
Loria eats a rattle snake then sits all alone,
hops on a bus, then on a train,
doesn't know where she's going, but
she knows her name!

Candy Cane, Candy Cane
run as fast as you can
so you won't get caught
by the gingerbread man!
