This poem was written by several enthusiastic teachers at the
Michigan Reading Association conference at Cobo Hall in Detroit.
Spring started today.
but you couldn't go out and play.
Pouring rain kept the sun away,
hidden behind clouds of gray.
Rain has replaced the falling snow.
Soon, in time, the flowers will grow.
Irises, tulips, are ready to bloom
reappearing from their winter tomb.
No more snow days, that's too bad.
But with all the nice weather, we won't be too sad.
Green grass and grades are due to be here.
Halleluyah, it's the end of another school year! |
